The Return follows Sonia Cameron, who has travelled to Granada, Spain to pursue flamenco dancing, unaware of the region’s turbulent history. A chance conversation in a café — and an old set of family photographs — pulls her into the story of the Ramírez family, who lived through the devastation of the Spanish Civil War in the 1930s. Divided by political allegiance and tragedy, each member of the Ramírez household experiences love, loss, and the harsh realities of a country torn apart.
